59 Prime was released on Amazon a year ago. Since then, it has found its way into the hands of more than 800 individuals from many different walks of life: mail carriers, inmates, Fortune 500 Leaders, multi-denominational clergy, family members, librarians, friends, young professionals, high school classmates, elected officials, neighbors, doctors, business colleagues and strangers around the globe.
As a guest HR panelist, I was able to share it with 100 CHROs during an Executive Leadership Summit discussion @ facing challenges; leveraged it to facilitate a Bible Study session @ faith; used it provide inspiration and hope to a group of underserved young professionals preparing to enter the workforce and was excited to learn that it had travelled internationally along with a passenger on a train in France. There have been many more profound and emotional personal engagements too. All of these moments, events and opportunities were inconceivable, a year ago.
Today, 59 Prime is a 5-star rated book on Amazon and is also highly ranked in three categories: Business Professional Biographies, Extended Families and Spiritual Self-Help. Ironically, it took a humbling medical ordeal to motivate someone who had never penned a simple poem to write and publish an inspirational book. Tangible proof that a lot can happen in a year and that we are all capable of enduring and achieving more than we ever imagined.
